OKLAHOMA CITY – Over 20 volunteers from Foundation HealthCare’s corporate offices in Oklahoma City worked to prepare more than 25,353 pounds of food for distribution at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Saturday.
After the event Foundation HealthCare presented a check for $1,015 to the Food Bank, which will help provide 5,000 meals. The money was raised by an internal fund raiser held by employees last month at the Foundation HealthCare corporate offices and the company matched their donations.
“Public service activities and volunteerism are a vital part of our corporate culture at Foundation HealthCare, and we encourage employees to give back to their community,” said Stanton Nelson, chief executive officer of Foundation HealthCare.
“Foundation HealthCare has also helped other organizations such as Infant Crisis Services, the Beautiful Dream Society and Rebuilding Together,” said Frank Kitelinger, who is an accounting supervisor at Foundation HealthCare.
“We are also looking for other nonprofits to commit more time to,” added Kitelinger.
“With the help of Foundation HealthCare today, we were able to provide 21,128 meals,” said Team Leader Kevin with the Regional Food Bank.
